Legal
Terms and Conditions
Effective and last updated: August 12, 2026
This notice describes the service's baseline practices. Local laws apply according to their scope; naming a law does not claim certification, registration, or guaranteed compliance in every country.
1. Eligibility and agreement
You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter this agreement. By creating an account or using authenticated labs, you accept these terms and acknowledge the Privacy and Cookie Policies. Mandatory consumer rights still apply.
2. Educational, authorized use only
TryHackMyAI provides defensive AI-security education. Use techniques only on systems you own or have explicit permission to test. Do not access, disrupt, probe, scrape, overload, deceive, or obtain data from third-party systems without authorization; distribute malware; evade controls; harass others; or violate law or third-party rights.
3. Accounts and content
Keep your OAuth account secure and provide accurate eligibility confirmations. You retain ownership of content you submit and grant us a limited license to process it only to operate, secure, and support the service. Do not upload secrets, regulated data, unlawful content, or material you lack permission to use.
4. Intellectual property
The platform, branding, lab text, and original materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Except where a separate license says otherwise, you may use lab materials for personal education but may not republish, resell, or remove notices from them.
5. Compliance, export controls, and availability
You must comply with laws that apply to you, including sanctions and export-control restrictions. You represent that your use is lawful and not prohibited by an applicable restricted-party or territory rule. We may limit access where operating, licensing, localization, sanctions, or provider requirements are unresolved.
6. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access for material violations, security threats, unlawful conduct, or legal demands. Where practicable and lawful, we will give notice and an opportunity to appeal at [email protected].
7. Service changes and disclaimers
Labs may change or become unavailable. The service and security examples are provided for education on an "as available" basis, not as legal, professional, or production-security advice. We do not promise uninterrupted, error-free, or universally available service. Nothing in these terms excludes warranties that cannot lawfully be excluded.
8. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from the service. Any limitation applies only where lawful and does not restrict liability or consumer remedies that cannot be limited, including liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or personal injury where applicable.
9. Governing rules and changes
The law of the operator's establishment governs where legally permitted, while mandatory protections and courts available in your home jurisdiction remain unaffected. Material changes will be posted, and renewed acceptance will be requested when required. Contact [email protected] with legal notices or disputes.
